Ritsu heaves awake, tangled up with iron in his lungs. Shigeo’s hand is on his arm and blood and darkness and—

“Get away from me!”

Ritsu shoves him in the chest. A gust of psychic energy swipes across the room, throwing books and pencils. The curtains flare around the windows. There’s a nauseating sound as Shigeo hits the wall.

Ritsu chokes.

summary
On March 6th, 2008, Kageyama Shigeo disappeared.

In October 2022, Reigen Arataka, fourteen, defeats or at least temporarily inconveniences the spirit of Mogami Keiji, and encounters a skittish, terrified man giving his name only as "Mob". Arataka is not equipped to deal with this, so he delegates to the most qualified adult he knows -- his former boss Kageyama Ritsu.

It's a rough night for all of them.
